My favorite Judge Judy verbal exchanges.

JJ = Judge Judy; PL = The Plaintiff; DF = The Defendant

September 7, 2010

JJ: Now, you say you've had problems with the plaintiff.
DF: Yes.
JJ: Tell me about it.
DF: She's told me on numerous occasions that she was going to fight me after work.
JJ: Just a second. What exactly did she say to you. No one says, "I'm going to fight you after work."

JJ: How many TVs did you have in the house?
DF: Two. We had the 50-inch and the 42-inch in the bedroom, but you have to understand-
JJ: Hey, I don't have to understand anything I don't want to understand.

Feb. 9, 2009

DF: She said, "Yeah, let's go get the bike," and I said "Okay." But at the same aspect-
JJ: No! I don't want to hear at the same aspect. And that's not english. I don't know what it is... but it's not english.

JJ: What did the plaintiff do then?
DF: She continued to say some very prolific words at me and then when I told her that-
JJ: She said what kind of words to you?
DF: Prolific.
JJ: *Rolls her eyes and shakes her head* Okay... continue.

Oct 28, 2008

JJ: How long had you planned this party?
DF: Just that night. It was sort of a sporadic thing.
JJ: Not sporadic. You mean spur of the moment.
DF: Yeah, spur of the moment, whatever.
JJ: NO, not whatever. Spur of the moment.

March 23, 2007

DF: He was verbally abusive.
JJ: What did he say to you?
DF: Just yelling a bunch of profound things at me and acting violent.
JJ: I think you mean profane... not profound.
DF: Yes... profane.

March 20, 2007

JJ: You owe the plaintiff the money!
DF: But she told me not to worry about it.
JJ: She doesn't want you to worry. She wants you to pay her!

Case is dismissed. Byrd, get them out of here!
